About the project
Christine Shirley is an artist who loves the glow of oil paints and also works in other media and sculpture. This fine art website sells her original paintings and Giclee prints, and it takes portrait commissions of people and animals.
Her work ranges from surrealism and fantasy to flowers, landscapes, and portraits. The site welcomes buyers from the UK and across Europe, with short welcome messages in French and German.
My work on the site
I designed and built the site in WordPress and Elementor, and I set up the online shop with WooCommerce. The home page introduces Christine in her own words and then moves through her art themes, so visitors can browse by subject.
The site runs on my managed hosting. I keep WordPress, WooCommerce, and the other plugins up to date, watch for security problems, and take regular backups.
What visitors find
A gallery arranged by theme, a shop for Giclee prints, an Art Tips blog, and testimonials. The site mentions the Fine Art Trade Guild, which maintains standards for printing fine art. Because postage varies from picture to picture, Christine asks buyers of original paintings to contact her directly by email or text.
If you are an artist who wants to show your work and sell it online, have a look at my website design.
