The result

In their words

“We highly recommend Theo for digital marketing campaigns and projects. We had a great experience working with him on the website for Barnes BookFest – a popular weekend literary festival in South West London. The campaign runs every year for eight months and Theo took over running the website seamlessly in 2025. He was great to work with and suggested a series of updates and technical improvements that moved us forward and made the website visually stronger and easy to use. Theo was endlessly patient and always had time to explain and answer any queries. He was remarkably responsive to all calls for help and last-minute updates throughout the campaign. We’re looking forward to working with him again for 2026.”

About the project

Barnes BookFest is a weekend literary festival in Barnes, South West London, bringing authors, historians, and debut writers together in conversation at venues across SW13. This literary festival website in Barnes is where visitors see who is speaking, when, and where.

The 2026 festival ran from 25 to 27 September, and a printed programme was available from the Barnes Bookshop.

My work on the site

I updated and improved the festival’s existing WordPress and Elementor site. The home page leads with the latest news, followed by a day-by-day schedule, and the menu links to the festival highlights, the venues, past speakers, and the story of the festival.

The site runs on my managed hosting. I look after WordPress updates, watch security, and keep regular backups for the festival.

What visitors find

A schedule listing each session by day, time, and venue, including St Mary’s Barnes, Home SW13, Barnes Green Centre, and Olympic Studios. There is also a contact number and an email sign-up for updates on future events and programme details.

If your festival, club, or community group needs someone to look after its WordPress site, have a look at my hosting and care.
