About the project
A Brush With the Law is the home of Anthony Lancaster’s paintings, and this artist website in West London shows his original watercolours and oils. Anthony practises law by day, and he paints the places he travels, the people he loves and moments worth remembering.
He also takes commissions to mark special celebrations, so the site gives people a place to see his work and get in touch.
My work on the site
I designed and built the site in WordPress and Elementor. The home page opens with a short introduction in Anthony’s own voice, then a gallery sorted into Travel, Landscapes, Portraits, Celebrations and Nature, so someone after one kind of painting can go straight to it.
The site is hosted and looked after by me, which covers WordPress updates, security checks and regular backups.
What visitors find
A gallery of paintings, an About page, a News and Events page for updates about his work, and a contact page. A See current exhibitions button sits at the top of the home page, and there are links to Anthony’s Facebook and Instagram.
If you are an artist or maker who wants a proper place to show your work, take a look at my website design.
