About the project
Wild Magic is a wildlife rewilding and education project run as a charitable trust, restoring around 70 acres of land near Dagnall for wildlife and biodiversity. This rewilding charity website is for local people, families, and supporters who want to volunteer or donate.
The project rests on three pillars (people, wildlife, and nature), and it runs entirely on volunteers and donations. Owen Smith is the contact for the trust.
My work on the charity website
Because Wild Magic relies on volunteers and donations, being found by people nearby matters. I update the WordPress and Elementor site and look after its SEO, so it shows up when local people search for volunteering and rewilding near Dagnall.
The site also runs on my managed hosting, where I keep WordPress and its plugins up to date, keep an eye on security, and take regular backups.
What visitors find
A home page that explains why biodiversity matters and how the project restores habitats one field at a time. Pages cover the land, the benefits of rewilding, outdoor activities, ways to support the trust, camping and glamping, and resources.
An Instagram feed shares the latest news from the land, and visitors can sign up to the newsletter.
