About the project
Laura Evans is a child, adolescent, and adult therapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and this child therapist website in West London is for young people, parents, and adults looking for a confidential space to talk. Laura works across West London, from Hammersmith, Chiswick, and Ealing to Central London, and in the South West, in Salisbury, Bath, and Marlborough.
In her sessions people can talk or use the art materials she provides, and she says it is not about being good at art. She works with issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-harm.
My work on the site
The site runs on my managed hosting. I handle the technical side: WordPress and plugin updates, security monitoring, and regular backups.
What visitors find
The home page explains what therapy is and how it can help, and it sets out Laura’s approach, which draws on attachment theory and the person-centred and psychoanalytic traditions. A how-to-get-started section describes a free half-hour session by phone or Zoom, and the option of a first meeting with a parent or carer. There are FAQs, and testimonials from parents and a teenager.
If you’re a therapist whose site needs looking after, have a look at my hosting and care.
