About the project
Chiswick Flower Market is a community interest company that runs a flower market in Old Market Place on Chiswick High Road, W4, on the first Sunday of every month. This Chiswick Flower Market website tells shoppers and traders what they need to know.
Around 35 traders, including plant nurseries and British flower growers, sell plants, flowers, and other horticultural goods.
My work on the site
My part is the hosting and care. The site runs on my managed hosting, and I keep WordPress and its plugins up to date, watch its security, and keep regular backups.
What visitors find
The menu offers separate routes for shoppers and for people who want to take part. Shoppers can check the calendar, see which traders are coming, read the FAQs, and find out how to get to Chiswick. Would-be traders, volunteers, and entertainers each have a page, and there are pages on grants and an application form.
There is also a gallery, an Instagram feed, a newsletter sign-up, a tote bags page, a press page, and a sustainability policy.
