About the project
boNGO Worldwide develops and tests education programmes in Malawi that could improve education on a national scale. This education charity website explains that work to supporters and sponsors, and its director Tereza Mirovičová appears on the home page singing in the Chichewa language to promote the charity.
The programmes cover early education for ages 3 to 6, primary classrooms for ages 6 to 12, and film screenings for young people and adults.
My work on the site
I designed and built the site in WordPress and Elementor. The menu gives each programme a place of its own, with Early Education, Primary Education and Youth and Adult Education, and the home page opens with captioned images from the Happy Classrooms Program and the Model Childcare Centres.
I host the site on my managed hosting. WordPress and its plugins are kept up to date, security is watched and backups are taken regularly.
What visitors find
A news area, a gallery, a Become a sponsor section aimed at companies and individuals, and a newsletter sign-up with a marketing permissions tick box. The home page also carries a current appeal for new toilet facilities at a community preschool in rural Blantyre.
