About the project
Lisa Bruton is a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and EMDR practitioner, and this psychotherapist website in Reading is for adults and couples looking for therapy in person or online. She also teaches psychotherapy at the University of Oxford.
Lisa sees clients in a quiet room on Castle Street, a short walk from the centre of Reading and the station. She already had a working site, and she wanted it to look cleaner, work better on a phone, and bring in more enquiries.
My work on the psychotherapist website
I started with a design and SEO audit of her WordPress and Elementor site, then worked through the plan it produced. I tidied the layout and made every page work properly on a phone.
I also look after the site’s SEO, so it shows up when people search for a psychotherapist or EMDR therapy in Reading. Since the changes went live, Lisa has had 1.5 times as many enquiries.
What visitors find
Pages for individual therapy, relationship therapy and coaching, clinical supervision, and EMDR, plus a page on her location and fees. A short FAQ covers her qualifications, where she works, and how long therapy lasts, and a Book a consultation button appears at the top and the foot of the home page.
Her site shows her UKCP and BACP membership.
