About the project
Emma is a person-centred counsellor and clinical supervisor in Bacup, Lancashire, and this counsellor website in Bacup is where young people, parents, and adults find out how she works. She offers confidential face to face, online, and telephone counselling to anyone aged 11 and over, and in-person and online supervision for qualified and trainee counsellors.
Emma has particular experience supporting people with ADHD. The site also lists anxiety, trauma, bullying, and relationship issues among the areas she supports.
My work on the site
I updated and improved the site, which runs on WordPress and Elementor. Its menu separates counselling for young people, key issues, FAQs, appointments and fees, supervision, and blogs.
I host the site as well, looking after WordPress and plugin updates, security monitoring, and regular backups.
What visitors find
Visitors can read about her approach, check appointments and fees, find answers in the FAQs, and browse her blogs. The home page opens with questions many people ask themselves before seeking help, and it points to crisis contacts for anyone who needs support right away. Emma is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
