About the project
Counsellors’ Staffroom is a peer community for counsellors and psychotherapists, and this counsellor community website brings its services together in one place. Led by Zena Nicholas, it began in March 2020 as a Facebook group, which the site says now has over 9,500 therapists.
The site covers support, CPD and visibility, with a members-only CoPractice Community, live CPD workshops and recordings, and a free service for finding a therapist or supervisor.
My work on the site
I helped design and build the site in WordPress and Elementor. The menu has separate places for the CoPractice Community, CPD, Find a Therapist and Contact, and a Sign in link for members.
I look after the hosting as well, which includes keeping WordPress and its plugins current, monitoring security and keeping backups.
What visitors find
Therapists can read about membership, see the CPD workshops and events, follow the blog and sign up to the newsletter. People looking for a therapist or supervisor can use the free Find a Therapist or Supervisor service, and the site links to its membership criteria and community guidelines.
If you run a membership or community for professionals, have a look at my website design.
