About the project
Ruby Tuesday Books is a children’s publisher owned and run by Ruth Owen and Shan White. This book publisher website in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, is also its shop, selling informative books for children aged 0 to 16.
The books cover subjects such as plastic pollution, bugs, rock-pooling, and prehistoric sharks, along with science fiction written for struggling readers.
My work on the site
The site is a WordPress and WooCommerce shop, and it runs on my managed hosting. I keep WordPress, WooCommerce, and the other plugins up to date, watch the security, and keep regular backups.
What visitors find
Books can be browsed by age and key stage, from Early Years to Key Stage 3, and by subject, including science, history, maths, and PSHE. There are book bundles and special offers, a Hi-Lo fiction range for reluctant readers, free resources, a news section, and a newsletter sign-up. The menu also links to the catalogue and to international rights.
If you sell products online and want your shop looked after, have a look at my hosting and care packages.
