About the project
Alex M Counselling is an online counselling practice for LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent people across the UK, and this online counselling website invites visitors to book a free 30-minute call with Alex. Alex is a BACP registered integrative counsellor.
The site is written for people who are tired of explaining themselves, and it says plainly that a formal diagnosis is not needed to begin.
My work on the site
I designed and built the site in WordPress and Elementor. It splits Alex’s work into two areas of focus, LGBTQ+ affirming counselling and ADHD and neurodivergent support, each with its own page.
A three-step section explains what happens after the first message, and a fees table sets out the free call, the individual session, and the limited reduced-rate places.
I look after the site’s SEO, so it shows up when people search for LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodivergent counselling online in the UK. Hosting is with me too. I keep WordPress and its plugins current, watch the site’s security, and back it up regularly.
What visitors find
A short FAQ page, a Book a free call button in the menu, and notes on how sessions run, weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, for 50 minutes online. Alex’s registration with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Psychology Today listing are shown on the site.
If you are a counsellor who wants a site that speaks plainly to the people you work with, take a look at my websites for therapists.
