About the project
Solutions Counselling offers phone and Zoom counselling across the UK from Crewkerne in Somerset, and the counsellor behind it has more than 33 years of experience in the NHS. This counsellor website in Somerset speaks to people of all ages, including children aged 5 and up who have lost a close family member.
The site lists specialisms that include trauma and bereavement, health anxiety, low self-esteem, postnatal depression, birth trauma, and relationship counselling. Additional training through work with Cruse Bereavement Care allows the counsellor to work with children and young people.
My work on the site
I designed and built the site in WordPress and Elementor. It keeps the menu to three items, Home, What I Can Help With, and Contact, with a Get in Touch button at the top, and the home page says early on that sessions are by phone or Zoom.
The site runs on my managed hosting. I keep WordPress and its plugins up to date, watch its security, and keep regular backups.
What visitors find
Sections on what counselling involves, the specialisms, work with children and young people, and professional experience, which includes the NHS, Cruse Bereavement Care, and a role as a cancer coach for Cancer Support UK. The site says the counsellor is DBS checked and completes annual safeguarding training.
