About the project
Pitshanger Community Playcentre is a registered charity in Pitshanger Park, Ealing, and this playcentre charity website in Ealing is where families find out what is on each week. It has supported local families since 1995 and runs sessions for children aged 8 and under.
Marion Doheny co-founded the charity after the decision was taken to close the playcentre Ealing Council had run, and she still runs it today. The playcentre also offers party hire.
My work on the site
I designed and built the site in WordPress and Elementor. The home page includes a winter timetable where each day opens to show session times and costs, as well as a summer timetable, and a Donate button sits in the menu.
I host the site on my managed hosting and handle the updates, security checks, and backups that keep it running.
What visitors find
A get-in-touch form for callbacks and party hire enquiries, a newsletter sign-up, a map and address for finding the playcentre, and menu links to the gallery, reviews, blog, and donations pages. The registered charity number is shown in the footer.
If you run a charity or community group and want a site that families find easy to use, my website design page shows how I work.
