How Can You Get Great Reviews?

Getting Great Reviews - marketing guide

Ways to Get Customer Great Reviews

When you’re doing your job you get great feedback and everyone’s happy with your work? They rave about you to friends and colleagues and could even get you referrals?

Converting these supporters into written or video testimonials is key for your marketing and promotions. In this guide I will explain how you can convert these into key marketing tools and how to manage when you have a dissatisfied customer.

Reach Out

The easiest way to get more reviews is to reach out to people. More often than not your biggest supporters will be happy to give you a review but didn’t know where to put it or what to say.

Create an email template that you can send to clients or customers that can request a testimonial through whichever medium works well for your company. This could link them to your LinkedIn page, Google My Business, TrustPilot or a pre-made form.

The most important part for your client or customers is to make it easy for them. Have an easy link to the place you’d like their testimonial and give them some prompting questions.

But also, remember to thank them! If they take the time to review your company it is important to say thank you!

Automations

What do automations have to do with reviews? When you’ve had a new customer or client you can use an automation to capture their thoughts.

Using Mailchimp, Mailerlite, Active Campaign or any email provider you can ‘tag’ them in a pre-made Reviews Sequence. This is a pre-set of emails that can be sent automatically to an individual, taking some of the leg work out of your process.

Dissatisfied Customer

Sometimes, communication breakdown and misunderstandings happen and when this results in a sub-par service it can lead to a negative review. What should you do?

You need to respond to them. Most review platforms offer a way for you to respond to reviews and utilise this as a chance to offer an explanation or a communication offline. You want to show future potential clients that when there is an issue you’re willing to support and fix the problem.

Remember in this instance to stay professional and calm, even when it’s hard!

Learning how to gather and then use reviews effectively can help your business to grow online. Your future customers are reading these and using them to decide whether to work with you or purchase from you.
